Site Preparation:
Clear the area of any vegetation, debris, or obstacles.
Mark the layout and dimensions of the paved area.
Excavate the soil to the required depth, ensuring proper drainage.
Base Installation:
Add a layer of crushed stone or gravel to create a stable and well-draining base.
Compact the base material using a plate compactor to ensure evenness and stability.
Add a layer of bedding sand over the compacted base to create a smooth surface for the paving stones.
Paving Stone Installation:
Begin laying the paving stones according to the planned layout.
Place the stones close together to minimize gaps.
Use click and drop method to ensure a tight and even lay.
Cutting Stones (if necessary):
Use a saw to cut stones at the edges or corners for a precise fit.
Ensure safety measures are in place when using cutting tools.
Edging Installation:
Install edge restraints to secure the paving stones and prevent shifting.
Secure the edging material using steel stakes.
Jointing Material Application:
Fill the joints between paving stones with polymeric sand.
Brush the sand into the joints and ensure it is evenly distributed.
Compact the entire paved area once again using a plate compactor to set the stones and sand.
Sweep off excess jointing sand from the surface to create a clean finish.
Final Inspection:
Conduct a final inspection to ensure the entire paved area is level, stable, and visually appealing.
